Our balcony was well worth the small extra charge. Princess has a stated goal of making balcony rooms available and affordable, and we found ourselves using it a lot, just to get outside easily and take in the tropical air. We also looked at the stars at night, and the sunrise and sunset when we were pointed the right way.
